Twelve teams from nine Scout Troops in the District competed in this year's competition held at Parkside Youth Centre. Two late withdrawals meant that only three teams were eliminated from the competition at the first round stage. These three teams then competed in a secondary competition, the winners of which would receive prizes of chocolate. Meanwhile the other nine teams were competing for the Trophy. |
| The nine were split into three leagues of three. There was drama in this round as in one league two teams finished exactly level with points, goal difference and goal average all being exactly the same. A penalty shoot-out followed where 18th Queensbury vanquished 16th Clayton 3-0. Two teams from 36th Wibsey played each other in another league with their B team prevailing 1-0. The other league saw 61st Clayton Parish Church emerge as winners. | |
| This left the Medal postions to be sorted out so these three teams then played each other in the final round. 36th Wibsey beat 2004 winners 18th Queensbury 2-1 in the first match and this proved to be the pivotal score as the other two matches were both draws. 61st Clayton took second place and 18th Queensbury finished third. | |
| District Commissioner Ian Walmsley presented selection boxes to the 20th Low Moor who were winners of the secondary competition. He then handed out medals to the top three teams and the trophy to 36th Wibsey, winners of this trophy for the first time ever! | |
| An exhibition match between the District Commissioner's
VI and a Scout
Leader's Team finished with a win for the DC's team 2-1. |

| Many thanks to our two referees, Barry Markey and
